These empty streets shine with the moonlight's glow,
I hear a heartbeat—a rapid melody below.
It's Intensity evident but fear isn't what drives this reaction, 
but it's inaction

My hunger is palpable, though I am not what I am at heart 
I still feel human but feelings dont lie when they start
I wander this street as a nightwalker, only in name
my actions have consequences, yet my feelings momentarily remove the blame

My fangs burn, aching for the taste of human skin,
A voice within commands me—while I scream to hold it in.
I tremble at the edge, where instincts dare me to go,
A tightrope walk between desire and the soul I used to know.

I was once a man of humble origins,
Thinking life was precious—a gift from God.
A healer by trade, a father of three,
My daughter once said, “I want to be like you Daddy.

But that dream dissolved when the sickness came,
A plague swept through like a roaring flame.
I had to save lives as the panic spread,
But all I could see was her face in my head.

She was only six, too small to fight...
And all she could do... was hold me tight.
I tried to help, but couldn’t prevent her death—
A life cut short… it hurt more than the rest.

Each one I buried—each time, I felt disgrace.
But I still had one daughter my saving grace,
She was everything the meaning for existing now my goal is to leave this place.

So I thought I just had the common cold 
I decided to sleep, but when I started to fall,
A shiver crawled through me, it didn’t feel normal at all.
A sense of dread crept in, like my body was in danger,
Then everything went dark, like slipping into vapor.
