[Verse 1] They flash it on the screen on Sunday night A promise stitched from someone else's prayer They say God's speaking something fresh and new But never stop to ask — for whom, and where [Pre-Chorus] I've been waiting on a word that never lands While the Book lay still and open in my hands [Chorus] You said it's finished — Tetelestai The house is built, the deed is done I don't need another prophet's cry I have the Spirit, I have the Son [Verse 2] The captives walked back home through Persia's gate That new thing bloomed and withered in its time But every week somebody sells the seed Of revelations dressed in Sunday rhyme [Pre-Chorus] I've been hungry at a table full of smoke Fed on promises from rivers someone broke [Chorus] You said it's finished — Tetelestai The house is built, the deed is done I don't need another prophet's cry I have the Spirit, I have the Son [instrumental] [Bridge] The Spirit doesn't build what's already standing He lights the rooms where I have yet to abide Not a new word — just a deeper landing Into the Word where all my answers hide [Final Chorus] You said it's finished — Tetelestai No longer chasing what has always been I don't need another prophet's cry The Word is here — and it is enough. Amen. [Outro - spoken softly over sparse instrumentation] Behold the new thing… It already came… His name is Jesus… And He is still the same…
