To Feel Without Becoming

🕊️ Hold the mind with gentle care, Bring it home to breath and air. Let it rest where silence grows, Where wisdom waits and stillness knows. Beneath this skin, beneath this face, Lies no more charm, no lasting grace. This body, clothed in flesh and frame, Becomes no one's when ends the flame. The form decays, the pulse will fade— All things must break, must slip away. Impermanence in every cell, A truth no mirror dares to tell. But mind, when lost in charm or blame, Will call defilement by its name. Lust takes root in beauty’s lie, And anger grows where grudges lie. Unwise is he who plants such seed— It blooms in fire, not in peace. Yet plant instead what’s not desired, And lust dissolves, its heat expired. Let kindness bloom where hatred stood— The heart remembers how to be good. A single breath in mercy grown Can turn the fire into stone. So tend the heart with quiet eyes, Let no dark wind within arise. What’s not yet born—let it not be, What’s good—let grow in clarity. This is the craft, the ancient way— To shape the mind by how we stay.
