The Clock on the Wall Says...

V5

I repeat myself daily, My hands, they can’t clap. When you’re running late, You glare and snap. You depend on my rhythm, Leaving me behind. I hang here in silence, Losing my mind. I move but go nowhere, My hands rise and fall. I’m the one you ignore, Yet I witness it all. I beg for attention, You sigh and you yawn. I never get sleep, I’m here every dawn. I whisper reminders, You look, then frown. Right where you left me, Still counting down. I turn for a reason, On display, unseen. You leave every morning, You call it routine. So I hang here in silence, Same look on my face. I won’t turn away, Same time, same place.
