Since When

Since when does a king become a baby Leaving His royal throne Since when does the ruler of the nations Come to this earth alone Since when does the Lord of all creation Sit down with sinners to dine Since when does the pure and spotless Savior Touch the leper and the blind Only since Jesus came to this earth Only since Jesus brought us new birth Only since Jesus became a man Only since Jesus brought life again Since when does the Lord of all the armies Become beaten, bruised and torn Since when does the merciful Messiah Suffer through the sinners scorn Only since Jesus came to this earth Only since Jesus brought us new birth Only since Jesus became a man Only since Jesus brought life again And in the midst of it all He cried out and forgave them all That forgiveness passed down to me as He hung upon that tree Since when does the spotless Lamb accept me as I am Since when does He make a way for me to enter heaven’s gate Only since Jesus Only since Jesus Only since Jesus Christ our Lord No other god paid the price No other God gave His life No other god has done what Jesus did Since He gave His life for me Only since Jesus came to this earth Only since Jesus brought us new birth Only since Jesus became a man Only since Jesus brought life again Only since Jesus Only since Jesus Only since Jesus Christ our Lord Only since Jesus Only since Jesus Only since Jesus Christ our Lord
