His Love Is Like A River

(Intro) Come Lord Jesus, and be Our guest, and let this music to us be blessed, amen. (Verse 1) In a town of old Bethlehem, where the star did brightly shine, Came a man with love so pure, a message so divine. He walked on water, turned water into wine, His name was Jesus, and his light would always shine. (Chorus) Oh, His love is like a river, flowing ever strong, Through the ages, through the pain, where we all belong. His story lives in every heart, His grace the sweetest song, His love as powerful today, as it was so long ago , so long ago. (Verse 2) He taught us to forgive, to love our neighbor too, With parables and miracles, his wisdom shone through. On the cross, He bore our sins, in darkness, He was the light, And with His rising from the grave, He conquered the night. (Chorus) Oh, His love, an endless beacon, calls us to His side, Through the storm, through the doubt, His arms are open wide. His legacy, a beacon, where hope and faith reside, His love as powerful today, in us, it does abide. (Bridge) From the manger to the cross, His journey was for all, To lift us when we're lost, to catch us when we fall. The Son of God, the Prince of Peace, His love never fades, In every tear, in every joy, His presence gently wades. (Outro) So let us sing of Jesus, whose love we can't contain, His power today, in every way, still breaks every chain. With faith as strong as ever, in His name we trust, His love is as powerful today, it's in His love we thrust. (Repeat Chorus - Softly) His love is like a river, flowing ever strong, Through the ages, through the pain, where we all belong. His story lives in every heart, His grace the sweetest song, His love as powerful today, as it was so long ago, so long ago. holy, holy, holy, In Our Lord Jesus' Name... amen.
