writer's note In Japan, March is a month of meetings and farewells. School graduations always come during cherry blossom season, major company personnel transfers occur during this time, and some people head off to unfamiliar places. For this reason, while spring brings with it excitement, it also always lingers a sense of melancholy, and the sight of cherry blossom petals fluttering in the air can even evoke a strange sense of nostalgia in Japan For the past two weeks or so, we've been playing pop songs with this time of year in mind, but it's about time we started writing songs with a different season in mind.
