“We Can’t Fight Here” is probably the glitchiest track on here, I think glitchy stuff can get very heavy-handed very quickly, but I really like the personality of this one. It’s another one that I think embodies the idea of not taking things too seriously but still saying serious stuff. I mean, the first line is “you’re like a hungry raccoon” for god sakes, so, um. And then the title and main hook is a reference to a great Dr. Strangelove quote that feels more and more poignant by the year. This is a little longer than I originally intended it, but the model gave me the very cool multi-vocal layering at the end and I couldn’t not use it, it’s so pretty.
