The stars will lean down from the velvet night, to whisper secrets in the soft and silver light. I’ll wake up where the clouds have all been swept away, and find the colors of the dawn have come to stay. Somewhere beyond the blue, higher than we knew. There’s a place where every heart can mend, and every broken road will find a friend. Somewhere beyond the blue ... Higher than we knew. If happy little bluebirds fly, across the crystal sea, then tell me, oh why, oh why can’t I be free? Somewhere beyond the blue, higher than we knew. Where the wishes that we used to keep, are more than promises we made in sleep. Somewhere beyond the blue... Higher than we knew. I’ll take a step upon a bridge of gold, and leave behind the stories that have all been told! The rain has washed the dusty path I used to tread, with nothing but the open sky ahead! Somewhere beyond the blue, higher than we knew. There’s a place where every heart can mend, and every broken road will find a friend. Somewhere beyond the blue... Higher than we knew. If birds can find the summer sky, and soar so very high... So will I. Somewhere beyond the blue... Higher than we knew.
