You love rules… Because rules make you feel safe. But Love… doesn’t negotiate. You drew a line and called it holy, Said “stay inside or God won’t hold me.” You built a fence around the Flame, Then blamed the Fire when it didn’t behave. You said “Do this, don’t do that,” Like Life is scared of where you’re at. But the River don’t ask the shore, It just keeps flowing… more and more. You made God a rule-maker… Ticking boxes, keeping score. You made God a rule-maker… But Love don’t live that way at all. If Love needs rules… It isn’t Love anymore. You said “Earn it,” “Prove you’re clean,” “Behave before you’re ever seen.” You dressed control in sacred clothes, Called it truth so no one knows. But Light don’t stop to check your name, Rain don’t fall on just the same. Sun don’t ask if you deserve— It shines because it’s what it is. Rules manage behavior… Love transforms being. You made God a rule-maker… Ticking boxes, keeping score. You made God a rule-maker… But Love don’t live that way at all. If Love needs rules… It isn’t Love anymore. You can follow every rule… and still miss Love. You can break every rule… and still be held. Rules build walls, Love builds doors, Rules say “less,” Love says “more.” Rules say “wait until you’re right,” Love says “come into the Light.” Rules belong to time and fear, Love is now and always here. So if God looks nothing like your law… Maybe Love is who He is You made God a rule-maker… Ticking boxes, keeping score. You made God a rule-maker… But Love don’t live that way at all. If Love needs rules… It isn’t Love anymore. Rules are human. Love is divine. You choose.
