When Everything Seems Fine

V6

[When Everything Seems Fine] [Opening] It starts with someone noticing what others never see. A child who needs a little comfort, a friend who's gone quiet, a smile that hides a worry. And someone reaches out, not because they're asked to, but because they care. At first it's just a kindness, then something they do every day. And slowly, without a word, it becomes what everyone expects. [Development] The meals are made, the calls returned, the little troubles put to rest. The days go by, the house stays warm, and no one sees the work behind it. The things that never went wrong, the tears that never had to fall, the hundred quiet choices that kept the world from coming loose. [Contrast] The better someone holds it all together, the less the others see. And when they say they're tired, when they say they cannot carry more, someone asks what's wrong with them. Why make a fuss when everything seems fine? [Renewed Motion] But being strong for one hard season is not the same as living that way for years. And speaking of a burden doesn't mean you put it there. Sometimes the one who breaks the silence is the one who's carried it the longest. [Instrumental Breath] [Next Passage] It happens in our homes, in places where we work, where willing hands keep giving until there's little left to give. We ask if everything is done, but seldom who remembered, who saw the trouble coming, who stayed awake to make things right. [Reflection] To see a need is not to owe your life to it. To care is not to carry everyone. And saying no to one more burden doesn't mean your love is gone. [Resolution] We needn't close our hearts or turn away from one another. We only need to share the weight, and leave some kindness for ourselves. [Final Passage] A home is not at peace because its cracks are out of sight. And a world is not doing well just because it carries on. It must leave something in the hearts of those who keep it going. [Instrumental Coda] [Fully Resolved Ending]
