No Weight On My Soul

Verse 1 I don’t feel that pressure sittin’ on me now, not the kind that used to weigh me down, not the kind that had me second guessin’ how I was movin’ through my day. I used to wake up with it on my chest, thoughts already runnin’, never really rest, tryna keep it together, tryna do my best, but I was carryin’ too much. I thought it was normal to feel like that, to hold every worry, to keep it stacked, to overthink every single act, like I had to manage everything. But I see it different now, I don’t move like that, I don’t pick up weight I don’t need to grab, I just let it go and I don’t look back, and I breathe a little deeper. There’s a lightness in me I can’t explain, like I’m not tied to that same old strain, like I don’t walk with that same old chain, I’ve been freed from that hold. And it didn’t come from me tryna fight, didn’t come from me just doin’ it right, it came from trustin’ You in my life and lettin’ You take control. I don’t hold onto things I can’t fix, I don’t stress over what I might miss, I just stay in the truth that I’ve been given, and I move through life with peace. That’s a shift I never had before, that’s a calm I couldn’t ignore, and I know exactly what it’s for— to keep me steady in You. Hook No weight on my soul, I’m walkin’ free, I don’t carry what don’t belong to me, I let it go, I let it be, no weight on my soul—I’m finally me. Through God the Father, I stand at ease, through Jesus my Savior, I’m released, through the Spirit that leads, I’m at peace, no weight on my soul—I breathe. Verse 2 I don’t replay every word that was said, I don’t build it up inside my head, I don’t let it sit there messin’ with me, I just let it pass right through. That used to be hard, I ain’t gon’ lie, I used to hold onto every why, try to figure it out, try to analyze, but it never brought me peace. Now I see I don’t need to know it all, I don’t need to break down every fall, I don’t need to answer every call that tries to pull me outta place. I just stay in the truth I know, I don’t drift with every thought that flows, I stay grounded, I don’t lose control, and I keep my focus clear. Through Jesus Christ, I don’t feel that weight, I don’t carry guilt from a past mistake, I don’t live like I gotta compensate for everything I’ve done. That truth alone changed how I live, I don’t withhold what I freely give, I don’t stay stuck in what once was, I move forward in grace. Through the Spirit I feel when I start to drift, He pulls me back with a gentle shift, not force, not pressure, but just enough to keep me aligned again. And God the Father, You set me free, You showed me what it means to be unburdened, steady, and finally able to just breathe.
