Monologue from the Underground

V5.5

Raindrops are tapping on the window as the late night train is moving extra slow tonight, With the coffee stains are fading out and blending with the shadow of the pale neon light. There is dust upon the vintage vinyl, fingers tracing heavy circles all alone, Hearing static in the heavy silence, guessing this crowded city never really felt like home. See the vacuum tubes are glowing red right inside the dark and dusty corner of the room, With the cigarette smoke floating so softly underneath the cold dark midnight blue. And every single quiet little footstep is echoing echoing somewhere down the underground, Just waiting for the dusty boom bap drums to finally drop and shake the whole room right now. Hear the snare rolling slowly while the entire city night finally begins to breathe, Feeling my heartbeat in the heavy silence, knowing there is something waking deep underneath. Staring straight through the shattered cold glass, seeing my own deeply worn-out face in the mirror tonight, Pulling off this heavy black suit, letting my dark shadow completely escape from their corporate sight. Trapped beneath the buzzing fluorescent lights, humming so low all across the empty factory floor, Diving deep into the freezing silent waves, leaving my true name right beside that rusted iron door. Pouring up the hot black coffee till it overflows, another cold train is rolling underneath a fading star, Untangling these endless repetitive days, watching the lonely telephone wires, I wonder where we are. This is a blissful oath, celebrating every single sound that we finally found deep in the dark, We gonna throw away the map tonight, and let the late-night nostalgic radio leave its beautiful mark. Always holding onto everlasting love, keeping the tiny flame burning right where we start, Feeling the midnight air through broken blinds, breathing so slow inside a beating heart. Music is always gonna be my absolute glory, living deep inside the pages of my story, shining like a star I’m gonna drift into the atmosphere tonight, yeah, I’m completely ready to just fade away and go so far
