How great is your God? Is He somewhere beyond the blue Past the stars and out of view Looking down from some distant place Watching over the human race? Or... Is He nearer than your skin The Life that's moving there within The breath you take but never made The beating heart you never bade? How great is your God? Big enough to live beyond the sky Or great enough to be the Life In every child In every man In every breath Across the land? They told me God was way up there So I spent my life looking everywhere Then I read the words I'd always known And suddenly... I wasn't alone. For in Him We live In Him We move In Him We have our being So tell me... How far away Can He really be? If God is Spirit And Spirit gives life What exactly Is looking through your eyes tonight? How great is your God? Great enough for heaven above? Or great enough That billions breathe And not one breath Is outside His love? Maybe I had greatness wrong. Maybe greater doesn't mean Farther away. Maybe Infinite means There isn't anywhere He isn't. For in Him We live And move And have our being So... How great Is your God?
