Script: NullVerse — (Doomsay Harvest) — The Surface: Perma-Dusk The street above is bathed in a weak grey-blue light. Clouds hang heavy. It’s “daytime,” but feels like midnight. Bricky’s boarded public convenience squats like a tomb. Chill lookings up at the dim sky “Why’s it always twilight now, Captain? Feels like the Sun’s been gone for years.” Captain “Because it has, Chill. The Nulls are drawing its warmth away, storing it below in their Doomsay cores. That’s why we’re here.” Wee-Ma (Scottish accent, nodding toward the hatch) “Aye, lassie. Ye’re seein’ the world wi’oot its heart. They’ve hidden the Sun tae keep their bellies full. Every street, every bog, a straw tae the sky.” --- Descent Into the NullVerse They push into the hatch. Steps spiral down; the air gets hotter, humming with stolen energy. Chill wiping sweat “I thought it’d be cold down here. Feels like a furnace…” [Wee-Ma]: (grinning darkly) “That’s the Sun ye’re feelin’, hen. They drink it, bottle it, feed their Doomsay engines. We’re walkin’ through a stolen sunrise.” Captain “They’re building a world beneath, powered by a star above that no longer shines. If they finish Doomsay, there’ll be no dawn left for anyone.” --- The Harvest Chamber The tunnels open into a vast space: old Victorian arches now fused with crystalline pylons. Sapphire-blue energy streams through pipes like molten rivers. The whole chamber pulses like a captured heart. Chill stunned “This… this is the Sun. All of it… down here.” Wee-Ma - touches a glowing pipe, winces “Aye. They’ve made a black sky for the folk above, and a false star for themselves below. Parasites turned gods.” Captain to Chill “This is the NullVerse network. Every abandoned convenience, every forgotten tunnel, a node in their lattice. This is where Doomsay lives.” ---Realisation Chill raises the chrome communicator, recording. It flickers between comic panels and live feed — the world above, grey and dying; the world below, blazing stolen light. Chill “If we cut this, will the Sun come back?” Wee-Ma -shakes her head slowly “Cut it too fast, ye’ll cook the whole city. Ye need tae unweave it like a tapestry, stitch by stitch. Else Doomsay swallows us all.” Captain “And that’s our mission, Chill — to map the lattice, expose each vein, and free the Sun before Doomsay locks shut.” --- — Escape (The hum becomes a roar. Lights flare white-hot. The chamber is waking, aware of intruders.) Chill (grabbing your arm) “Captain — it’s alive. It knows.” [Wee-Ma]: (yelling over the noise, her accent thicker) “Aye! Time tae leg it, lassie! Ye’ve seen enough o’ the stolen dawn!” They race up the dripping stairwell. Above, the world stays twilight — but now Chill knows why. Doomsay Harvest locks shut.” — Escape (The hum becomes a roar. Lights flare white-hot. The chamber is waking, aware of intruders.) [Chill]: (grabbing your arm) “Captain — it’s alive.
