Halloween Party

V6

[INTRO] Midnight creeping, moon hanging low, Demon boy grinning with his angel in tow, Halloween night, got the whole town dressed, They came for a party—never guessed the rest. Black hoodie, horns, with a mischievous stare, Angel beside him with a halo in her hair, “Tonight we get wild,” he said with a grin, She laughed, “Just don't let your demon side win.” They walked down the street where the jack-o'-lanterns glowed, Every house looked dead underneath the moon. Fog rolled in thick, swallowing the road, Then they saw one house where the party lights showed. [VERSE 1] Door swung open before they could knock, Old grandfather clock said twelve o'clock, Music hit hard with a sinister sound, Costumed-up strangers were dancing around. Vampires in corners, witches at the bar, Skeletons dancing underneath a chandelier, A clown in the hallway just stared at the wall, Didn't move an inch when they walked past at all. Demon boy laughed, “Man, this place is insane,” Angel looked around like she sensed something strange, “Something ain't right,” she whispered real low, Then every candle in the room burned blue. [HOOK] Halloween party, but the night went wrong, Music got darker as the shadows got long, Demon boy running with his angel friend, Thought it was a party—now they're trapped again. Doors disappeared, walls started shifting, Something in the darkness kept watching, listening, Laughing from the ceiling, footsteps below, They came for a party—nowhere to go. [VERSE 2] The DJ stopped suddenly, record scratched back, Every masked face turned toward the black, Nobody spoke, nobody moved, Then the speakers whispered something they knew. “Welcome, welcome, glad you came tonight...” Angel grabbed his arm, “Something isn't right.” Demon boy smirked, “I've seen ghosts before.” Then a shadow crawled underneath the door. It stretched across the floor like it knew their names, Wrapped around their feet, then vanished again, The party erupted with a horrible cheer, But every single guest disappeared. Empty costumes standing where people had been, Masks on the floor with nobody within, Demon boy stared, angel whispered, “Run,” Then the lights went out—one by one. [VERSE 3] They sprinted upstairs through a hallway of mirrors, Every reflection looked stranger and nearer, Angel looked left—saw herself standing still, Demon boy looked right—saw a version of himself. “Don't look back!” she shouted aloud, But his reflection smiled through the crowd, It whispered, “Stay, there's nowhere to hide,” While the real demon boy pulled her outside. They found a room with a window cracked open, Moonlight pouring through, but the glass looked broken, Angel touched it—her hand passed through, Demon boy followed like, “What else can we do?” They climbed through the mirror into another place, A twisted Halloween world with a bloodless, ghostly haze, Pumpkins floating like lanterns in space, And hundreds of shadows with no human face. [BRIDGE] Angel said, “We're not supposed to be here.” Demon boy laughed, “That's why I like it here.” She shook her head, “You're impossible, you know.” He grinned, “Yeah—but you're still coming though.” Thunder cracked overhead, the whole sky split, A giant shadow rose from the fog bit by bit, They stood together, neither one would flee, Demon and angel against whatever they'd see. [VERSE 4] The shadow spoke with a voice like thunder, “Why did you enter? Why did you wonder?” Demon boy stepped forward, “We came for the fun.” Angel said, “We're leaving when this night is done.” The shadow laughed, “You don't understand, This party exists outside your world and time, Every Halloween, the doorway appears, And every year it feeds upon the fears.” Demon boy cracked his knuckles, “Sounds pretty lame.” Angel rolled her eyes, “Must you challenge everything?” The shadow reached out, darkness filled the sky, But the angel raised her hand and made the shadows hide. Demon boy yelled, “That's my friend right there!” Angel smiled softly, “You finally noticed I care.” They stood back-to-back while the nightmare closed in, Angel with the light, demon boy with the grin. [FINAL HOOK] Halloween party, but the night went wrong, Two unlikely friends kept fighting along, Demon boy laughing while the angel shined bright, Walking through the nightmare in the dead of night. Doors disappeared, but they found their way, Shadows tried to keep them till the break of day, They came for a party, got a nightmare instead, But neither one left the other for dead. [OUTRO] Dawn broke through, the nightmare was gone, They walked away as the darkness moved on. Demon boy laughed, “Same time next year
