[Verse 1] Saw you at the football game last Friday night Standing by the concession stand under the light You had a new girl hanging right onto your arm Doing her best to flash that small-town charm [Pre-Chorus] But I had to double-take when she turned around Because she’s the biggest rumor running through this town [Chorus] She’s got my long brown hair and my favorite boots She’s even wearing jersey number twenty-two Yeah, it’s kind of funny when you look at the facts You didn't really move on, you just doubled back Go ahead and tell your friends that you’ve moved on with your life But it looks to me like I’m still your favorite type [Verse 2] She’s got the same laugh that you used to hate When I got too loud on our very first date You’re trying so hard to replace what we had But buying a copy just makes you look sad [Pre-Chorus] Yeah, I had to double-take when she turned around Because she’s the biggest rumor running through this town [Chorus] She’s got my long brown hair and my favorite boots She’s even wearing jersey number twenty-two Yeah, it’s kind of funny when you look at the facts You didn't really move on, you just doubled back Go ahead and tell your friends that you’ve moved on with your life But it looks to me like I’m still your favorite type [Bridge] [Steel Guitar Solo] [Vocals confident, almost laughing] I ain't even mad, no, I think it's kind of sweet That you need a version of me just to function and breathe Good luck to her, yeah, I hope she plays the part Of the girl who used to hold your heart [Chorus] [Full country band kicks in loud and fun] But she’s got my long brown hair and my favorite boots She’s even wearing jersey number twenty-two Yeah, it’s kind of funny when you look at the facts You didn't really move on, you just doubled back Go ahead and tell your friends that you’ve moved on with your life But it looks to me like I’m still your favorite type [Outro] Yeah, I'm definitely still your type. [Acoustic guitar riff] [Fade out] [End]
