Four deep. You wanted different? Listen close. You been timing my drops, keeping tabs on the days Got three tracks in your head, every bar, every phrase Say I’m caught in your shadow while you study my shape That’s a strange way to hate, that’s a dangerous gaze But enough of the past, I’ma bury that angle Strip it down to the nerve, let the bassline strangle You move fast with the pen, think the speed makes it fatal I move clean with intent, every syllable stable First thought hit the page, you mistake it for instinct Then defend every word when the weak shit gets mentioned If the line didn’t cut, I don’t beg for attention I sharpen the next till it splits through the tension That’s where we differ. I can kill what I made Cut a verse from the body, let it rot where it lay You keep dragging yours back, put a pulse in the grave Then get mad at the room when it still won’t awake You talk outlasting like time makes a threat But surviving ain’t growth when you never progress Same blood on the floor, same boot on the neck Different beat underneath, same shape in the flesh I don’t need what I said in the previous rounds No old shit resurrected and dragged through the sound I’m here now, low voice while the bass shakes the ground Every pocket gets tighter the deeper we drown You said different levels, I’m checking the distance All I see is a mouth with a need for resistance Every criticism turns into rigid persistence Like changing one thing means admitting submission That’s weakness disguised as conviction. I’d rather break form than get trapped in tradition Rip apart what I built, reconstruct the position You protect every flaw like it’s part of your vision I evolve. You explain. There’s the difference. Then you went for the legs, for the bones, for the crutch All that death in the ink, still it don’t weigh enough Every threat gets darker, every image gets rough But the more that you promise, the less that I trust I’ve been dead in your verses more times than I count Still walk through the next one when the bass bottoms out If you gotta keep saying what the damage amounts Maybe nothing you threw ever carried the clout Don’t tell me you’ll bury me. Make me feel dirt. Don’t tell me it hurts. Put the pain in the verse. Don’t tell me you’re coming. Just make the shit work. Real menace don’t warn you. You notice it first. That’s dark. No costume required. Now I’m shifting the rhythm, precision embedded Internal on internal, the meaning connected I don’t reach for a rhyme then reverse-engineer it Every word got a reason for being positioned I can fracture the cadence, accelerate clean Put a gap in the pocket, come back in between Keep the consonants cutting, the imagery bleak Without losing the thought just to rhyme seventeen Black air in my lungs, dirty bass in the trunk Florida heat on the pavement, still cold when I come No theatrical rage, I don’t need to act nuts Keep the voice near a whisper and still fuck it up You wanted rap-heavy? I’m giving you pressure. No recycled premise to hold it together. Every section mutates, every pocket gets fresher. You can memorize this one. It won’t help with the next one. Here’s what I learned after four of these tracks: You’re talented. That’s why I’m still here. But talent gets buried when ego gets scared Of cutting the parts that don’t need to be there You’d rather stand still and insist it’s progression Than tear yourself open and question direction You call it conviction. I call it protection. Because changing would mean maybe I had a point when I said it. And that cuts deeper than anything violent you’ve written. So forget all the shit from the previous rounds. Forget what you called me. Forget what I found. Right now it’s two voices and one ugly sound. One of us changed when the weakness got called out. The other made another track to explain himself. That’s why this one feels different. You asked me to step out of your shadow. I did. Now there’s nowhere left for you to hide in it.
