(Hoshi to Tanpopo - Stars and Dandelions, Misuzu Kaneko)
-- (translation:) Deep at the bottom of the blue sky, like pebbles at the bottom of the sea, they lie submerged until night falls— the stars of the day are invisible to the eye. Though you cannot see them, they are there. Even things unseen exist nonetheless. The withered ones that fell to the earth, stay tucked away until night falls, hiding in the cracks between the roots— the dandelions of spring are invisible to the eye. Though you cannot see them, they are there. Even things unseen exist nonetheless.
