Alright… sit tight. We’re making chili tonight. No beans. No nonsense. Just meat… spices… and whatever mess happens along the way. Knife out, cutting board ready Onion diced, garlic steady Jalapeño staring at me Like it knows it’s meant to be Ground beef, maybe pork too Both of ’em asking “What we do?” Crushed tomatoes lined in time Spice rack says it’s chili time Forgot the apron… again. Cowboy chili... no beans inside Just real meat, real spice, no fake pride Brown it hard, sweat it down Let it bubble, let it brown Real ingredients Real mess tonight That’s how supper earns its right Pan gets hot, oil starts dancing Meat hits steel... give it a chance then Break it up, let it sing Sputter pop... Cowboy chili... smell it rise Paprika smoke, cumin surprise Crushed tomatoes rolling in Little broth... let it spin Real heat Real sound Kitchen chaos all around Cooking like this ain’t complicated. You start with good meat real spices and a pan that’s been around awhile. Everything else just sort of happens. Pot keeps talking on the flame Whole house smelling just the same Cheese on top, spoon in hand First bite says I understand Grease on my fingers crumbs on the floor This kind of mess ain’t no chore Napkin ready grin on my face Cowboy chili right where supper oughta be Cowboy chili... no beans allowed Just real food messy and loud Cheese melting, spoon in grip Little red sauce on my lip Real eats Real laugh Cowboy chili Fridge Raider craft Yeah… supper showed up right.
