A Perfect Day (A CenturyNew Winning Remix)

Evening light Soft bells ring We walk slow We still sing Thank you now Thank you then Good day ends Good hearts bend When you come to the end of a perfect day And you sit alone with your thought While the chimes ring out with a carol gay For the joy that the day has brought Can a tired heart learn from a bright day done When the red sun leaves the road We shared our words, we shared our calm Now the bells walk with us home This is the end of a perfect day We keep it, we keep it We say goodbye in a thankful way We keep it, we keep it We keep the laugh We keep the grace We keep the good we gave today We keep the friend We keep the name At the end of a perfect day Perfect day We keep it Perfect day We keep it Soft bells ring We keep it “When you come to the end of a perfect day” “For the joy that the day has brought” Near the end of a journey, too We saw the last light spread You gave me care, I gave you truth No debt, no heavy thread Memory painted this perfect day With colors that never fade A kind word stayed, a small bell rang And a friend was made We did not own the hour we had We let it be enough We took the road with open hands We called that kindness love Sun burns low Steps slow down No one speaks too fast One last bell One last smile This good thing can last This is the end of a perfect day We keep it, we keep it We say goodbye in a thankful way We keep it, we keep it For mem’ry has painted this perfect day With colors that never fade And we find at the end of a perfect day The soul of a friend we’ve made We keep the laugh We keep the grace We keep the good we gave today We keep the friend We keep the name At the end of a perfect day “When the sun goes down with a flaming ray” “And the dear friends have to part?” Evening light Soft bells ring We keep the good We keep the song A perfect day A friend we made Thank you now Thank you then We keep the day We keep the friend
