[Intro – Female Spoken Word, soft, pained] “It’s the same sky. Over some roofs it rains. Over others it explodes.” [Verse 1 – Male Rap] He wakes up to the impact, not an iPhone morning chime, dust inside his lungs again, counting seconds, holding time. Power’s out, the fridge is dead, the windows crossed with tape, in the hallway with his mother, all he thinks is: “Not too late.” On the wall a child’s drawing, little house and bright blue sun, no tanks, no drones, no checkpoints, just a playground, just some fun. But outside the real picture is a crater in the street, where his neighbor’s car was parked and kids played soccer with bare feet. He never joined a party, never voted, never planned for his block to be a “target” in some foreign power’s hand. They say “precision strike” on TV, “surgical and clean,” but it’s his apartment ceiling where the cracks now spread and bleed. [Pre-Chorus – Male Rap, Female low harmonies] He asks, “What did I do wrong? Whose enemy am I?” But the answer is just thunder tearing holes into the sky. [Chorus – Female Lead, melancholic, Male ad-libs] Sirens under the same sky, you don’t need to know the language just to hear a mother cry. Different city, different flag, but the tears are all alike, every blast that shakes his rooftop shakes our conscience in the night. Sirens under the same sky – if you listen with your heart, you can hear his lullaby. [Instrumental – Piano & pads, 8–12 bars, gentle swell] [Verse 2 – Male Rap] On the other side of oceans, on a sofa, late at night, you scroll past his burning building, tap a heart, then swipe it right. News anchor talks of “escalation”, “retaliatory fire”, then cuts back to entertainment, to a sponsor, to a choir. You see “region”, you see “faction”, you see “terror” in the crawl, but you don’t see how he whispers to his sister through the wall. How he holds his breath and counts down between every distant boom, how he dreams of empty highways just to walk in peace at noon. Comment sections pick a side like a rivalry in sports, but nobody in his shelter cares for hashtags or for courts. They just want the sky to quiet, just a night without the roar, just a chance to live a Tuesday that’s not written down as “war”. [Pre-Chorus – Duet, more intense] He asks, “Does anybody see me, or am I ‘area’ on a map?” We answer how we live and vote, not with platitudes and apps. [Chorus – Duet, stronger] Sirens under the same sky, you don’t need to know the language just to hear a mother cry. Different city, different flag, but the tears are all alike, every blast that shakes his rooftop shakes our conscience in the night. Sirens under the same sky – if you listen with your heart, you can hear his lullaby. [Instrumental – Beat break, drums & bass, 8 bars] [Bridge – Female Spoken Word, clear, intimate] “He is not ‘collateral’. Not ‘enemy combatant vicinity’. He is a life no one asked for permission to gamble. If it was your street, your roof, you’d pray someone, somewhere, would see you as more than a statistic.” [Verse 3 – Male Rap, starting soft, then building] While we argue in our kitchens who threw first and who’s to blame, he is trying to remember who he was before the flames. He streams music on a cracked phone, hears a crowd in some safe place, imagines standing there one day, no more rockets, no more chase. Maybe you’re the one that’s rapping, maybe you’re the one that sings, maybe he’s the echo in your verse when the whole arena rings. If this beat can cross the distance that a missile never should, maybe voices can do something that their weapons never could. We don’t need to choose a flag to choose a side that matters more: not “for” this state or “against” that one – but always against war. And when sirens cut the sky again on some unknown foreign night, may our music be the signal that he’s not erased from sight. [Pre-Chorus – Both, low then rising] He asks, “Is there a place on earth where the sky just lets you be?” We answer with a chorus, “You belong to us, to we.” [Chorus – Final Duet, emotional peak] Sirens under the same sky, you don’t need to know the language just to hear a mother cry. Different city, different flag, but the tears are all alike, every blast that shakes his rooftop shakes our conscience in the night. Sirens under the same sky – if we carry him in song, he won’t just live and die. [Outro – Instrumental, soft piano, Female Spoken Word, whisper] “It’s the same sky. Maybe peace begins when we finally look up together.”
