Bear Season Blues

[Verse] First day of September bear season again Dust on the rifle that's where I begin Bears been out eating our berries all summer Time to pay the piper oh what a bummer [Chorus] Oh bear season blues got me down No tracks no fur no bear around He's out there laughing behind that tree Bear season blues oh woe is me [Verse 2] First morning out no bear in sight Fresh poop from yesterday no fur no fight Like he's just out there giggling free Hiding behind shadows teasing me [Chorus] Oh bear season blues got me down No tracks no fur no bear around He's out there laughing behind that tree Bear season blues oh woe is me [Bridge] Maybe I’ll pick mushrooms instead But bears ate all those left me for dead I’m chasing ghosts in this endless game That sly old bear he’s got no shame [Chorus] Oh bear season blues got me down No tracks no fur no bear around He's out there laughing behind that tree Bear season blues oh woe is me
