...Far, far away, just past the edge of the galaxy, nothing was happening. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Many people have since considered this to be a bad move but then they didn't see it at the start . At the very start there wasn't much to see. It had been very dark. Right on the edge of the galaxy nothing stirred. God remembered stirring nothing. It had been quite easy to stir. There had been an awful lot of nothing but it was fairly insubstantial so it hadn't taken much to stir it, just a word. And the word was God. By getting some of the bits of nothing to spin round some of the other bits of nothing God got some interesting effects. God thought that they were interesting too and together with God the three of themself had made something solid. It was okay but it was still very dark so God decided that it would be a good idea if the little bits of nothing, which were now moving very fast around each other, could cause other bits of nothing to move off away from them. It only took a word but God suggested that they could hyphenate this one. God remembered saying it, "Let-there-be-light". The light moved very fast. (God can move even faster but being omnipresent he doesn't really need to.) On the edge of the galaxy the light was about to arrive. God liked watching it arrive from here. He had been pleased with His creation in the beginning. It was, He had said to Himself, perfect, and He had both agreed. The light arrived, and God saw that it was good.
