Judgement comes - remix

[Intro] [Verse 1] Excuses abound in the hearts of each man It started in Eden, where our story began A choice that was made, excuses then followed Life went to hell….our relationships hollowed Since the beginning we crafted denials Our pride is the source of the sin which defiles Transgressions the power whose wages are death The price of rebellion that taints our hearts breath [Chorus] The time draws nigh, your death comes near. Will you cry with terror and fear. The cross it calls..repent and live. Jesus died your sins to forgive. [Verse 2] We deflect our own failures and turn a blind eye To the wicked desires that demand we comply And thus we walk blindly towards cliffs of despair Eternal disaster is the fate that we share Our hearts became darkened, we fled from the light To become self enlightened though we’re lost in the night The pursuit of our passions, the lucre, the vice A mirage of true meaning…a fool’s paradise [Chorus] The time draws nigh, your death comes near. Will you cry with terror and fear. The cross it calls..repent and live. Jesus died your sins to forgive. [Bridge] [Verse 3] Your death comes a calling, then judgment is due The books will be opened…the sins you accrue No advocate comes and you cry out in shame Depart to the darkness, I know not your name The terror is real, His judgements are true But forgiveness is offered, for me and for you The day of salvation is here, call his name Jesus the Savior can redeem from the flame [outro] The cross it calls..repent and live. Jesus died your sins to forgive.
