[Intro — Spoken, Dark Cinematic Atmosphere] Pay attention! Keep watch! You don't know the hour, You don't know the day. The Master has gone, But He's coming again. Will He find you faithful Or will He find faithless men? BE ON THE ALERT! [Verse 1] A man left his house, took a journey far, Put his servants in charge, gave them work from the start. Every man had a duty, every servant a place, With a task to fulfill in the Master's space. The doorkeeper stood with his eyes open wide, Keep watch through the darkness, don't sleep through the night. For the master's return could be sooner than planned, And the hour of his coming is not in our hands. Evening rolls in, midnight covers the ground, Dawn breaks in silence, but he hasn't come around. You can guess, you can wonder, you can search every sign, But the Father alone holds the key to the time. [Pre-Chorus] Don't let your spirit lose at all! Don't let your heart lose the call! You've been given a calling, take control Now stand firm in your role! [Chorus] BE ON THE ALERT! WAKE UP, STAND STRONG! Keep your lamp burning, keep your faith holding on! The Master is coming, we don't know the day, So be faithful in the work while He's away! WATCH AND PRAY! DON'T FALL ASLEEP! Guard what He's given, the calling you keep! From the evening to morning, let your faith display Be ready, be faithful, BE ON ALERT TODAY [Verse 2] It's easy to drift when the nights get long, To trade your conviction for a comfortable song. To bury your calling, let your purpose decay, And forget that the Master could return today. But the servants were trusted with work to be done, Not to sit around waiting till the battle was won. Every gift, every moment, every breath that you claim, Is a chance to serve Christ for His glorious name. Don't confuse being watchful with chasing a date, Or believing that tomorrow is the time to get straight. Live ready today, let obedience show, Let the fruit of your faith be the seed that you sow. No excuses, no drifting, no turning away, Keep your eyes on the Savior and walk in His way. When the midnight comes calling and the world falls asleep, May the Lord find His servants still faithful and deep! From the evening to morning, let your faith display Be ready, be faithful, BE ON ALERT TODAY [Bridge - Half-Time Breakdown, Spoken over pounding 808s] Maybe evening... Maybe midnight... When the rooster calls... Maybe morning... Maybe noon... When the hammer falls... You don't know when. You don't know how. But the Master's coming ARE YOU READY NOW? [Gang Vocals] STAY AWAKE! STAND YOUR GROUND! KEEP THE FAITH! DON'T BACK DOWN! STAY FAITHFUL! DO YOUR PART! KEEP HIS WORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART! [Breakdown] The world says, Sleep! So our flesh says, Sure! Christ says, Watch! Then faith says, Edure! No fear of the unknown, No faithless retreat, We serve the returning King With our hands and our feet! [Final Chorus — Anthemic, Powerful] BE ON THE ALERT! WAKE UP, STAND STRONG! Keep your lamp burning, keep your faith holding on! The Master is coming, we don't know the day, So be faithful in the work while He's away! WATCH AND PRAY! LET THE WHOLE WORLD HEAR! We serve our King with conviction, not fear! Till He comes in His glory, let our lives proclaim WE ARE READY, WE ARE FAITHFUL, WE HONOR HIS NAME! [Outro — Spoken, with the beat] Mark 13:37. What I say to you I say to all, Be on the alert! The Master is coming. Until that day... STAY AWAKE. STAY FAITHFUL. STAND READY.
