[Intro, female singer] Let go of my pride, yeah, but I’m not letting go I’m letting God, positioning & investing, here I go [Chorus, female trapper, catchy] I'm gonna invest and let God do the rest I'm gonna invest and let God do the rest Letting go is not an option, my inaction’s the devil's concoction I was bought at a price - auction , we're all slaves, we must take action [Post-Chorus, female] Investing’s not just for the wealthy And it’s not just with money [Verse, female rapper, double time] God didn't call us to be lazy fucks Oh no! I used a baaaad word, shucks! I’ma write a whole song based on that word, what? We're not supposed to be sitting ducks Eating forbidden bread, quack quack cluck cluck We often run so aimlessly, wishing just for luck Mostly junk food videos on socials, I was struck! No wonder so many of us feel stuck To go on tour, someone’s gotta drive the truck! Maybe it’ll be me, but right now I gotta make a buck Discrimination on me cuz I still need to tuck Time to get it out the market instead of out the muck That’s where God pulled me from, plucked! You know we’re all a bit dirty though, yuck! [Chorus, female trapper, catchy] I'm gonna invest and let God do the rest I'm gonna invest and let God do the rest Letting go is not an option, my inaction’s the devil's concoction I was bought at a price - auction , we're all slaves, we must take action [Post-Chorus, female] Investing means putting in the effort Even after you’ve been hurt [Verse 2, female rapper, double time] Look at all these Christian content farms Turning sitcom clips to false alarms Open up the gram, what do I see today? A stupid Friends clip teaching us how to play? Ross freaking out is somehow God's design? Twenty thousand shares - yeah we're doing fine! Where's all the scholars? True art inspired by the divine? You’ve traded truth for memes and cheap punchlines The Church is meant to be the head, not the tail But here we are, just riding trends till the day we fail Our real leaders are few and far between We don’t need politics to take us into the green Instead of settling for mediocrity as the churches fade Jesus is calling, walk on the sea, you stay in the shallows to wade? [Chorus, female trapper, catchy] I'm gonna invest and let God do the rest I'm gonna invest and let God do the rest Letting go is not an option, my inaction’s the devil's concoction I was bought at a price - auction , we're all slaves, we must take action [Interlude, solo, bold, exciting, instrumental] [Refrain, declarative, proud] Time to check your pulse, are you really where God pulls? If your focus is on paying bills and church attendance Rather than building a larger sphere of influence There won’t BE a church for our descendants! Each and every week, you’re putting on a show When God has commanded you to go! Don’t expect them to show up! That’s why it grows slow! How long has it been since you questioned what you think you know? [Refrain 2] Ringo was right - church is barely ministry, all business It’s not profits that should be our incentives Church is a place that we should be recharging, not evangelizing Strategizing, challenging, determining our parts in God’s great designing Let’s flip it on its head so we can get ahead, stop fearmongering! Wandering, tithe-laundering, and squandering the gifts that you have & can develop [Chorus] I'm gonna invest And let God do the rest I'm gonna invest And let God do the rest Letting go is not an option My inaction’s the devil's concoction I was bought at a price - auction We're all slaves, we must take action [Chorus] I'm gonna invest And let God do the rest I'm gonna invest And let God do the rest Letting go is not an option My inaction’s the devil's concoction I was bought at a price - auction We're all slaves, we must take action [Outro, fading] I'm gonna invest And let God do the rest I'm gonna invest And let God do the rest I'm gonna invest And let God do the rest I'm gonna invest And let God do the rest
