Feels like Heaven - (Hair Metal Power Ballad)

[Verse 1] Engines hum beneath me As the city disappears Golden clouds surround me Like the shape of vanished years And the horizon opens Beyond the fading blue Like heaven left its doorway Just to let me fly to you [Pre-Chorus] Somewhere through the silence Somewhere past the storm I still feel your spirit rising [Chorus] And it feels like heaven High above the world below Like your light still guides me through the afterglow And I keep on flying Through the endless night Chasing echoes burning softly in the sky [Verse 2] Moonlight on the cockpit Silver wings against the dark Every star reminds me How you left your living mark And every lonely runway Still calls me back again Like your voice is riding shotgun Through the cold night wind [Pre-Chorus] Somewhere past forever Somewhere wild and true I still feel your soul beside me [Chorus] And it feels like heaven High above the world below Like your light still guides me through the afterglow And I keep on flying Through the endless night Chasing echoes burning softly in the sky [Bridge] If I break the clouds Maybe I'll see your shadow there Waiting in the sunlight Beyond the atmosphere [Guitar Solo] [Final Chorus] And it feels like heaven Even now you're gone Still your memory carries me along And the dawn keeps rising Through the endless blue Like heaven keeps reminding me of you [Outro] Above the clouds I still see you
