hard questions a conversation with the savior
listening with absolute intensity.)[Seeker]Look, I didn’t come here today to sing a pretty hymn,I came because the world is tearing at the seams and the light is getting dim.I’m standing in the wreckage of a world that feels broken and decayed,And I’m looking at the Architect, asking how this blueprint was made.Lord, if You love us, why do we watch the casket lower into the clay? Why do people die? Why does the breath just slip away?[Jesus] (Steps into the light, eyes filled with a deep, ancient sorrow, voice steady but gentle)My child, take a breath. I hear the friction in your chest. You look at the cemetery and you think death was My request? In the beginning, it wasn’t so. I breathed life into the dust,Designed you for eternity, wrapped in perfect peace and trust. But humanity chose a different path, fractured the design, and let the darkness in,And the sting you feel right now is the heavy, broken legacy of sin.Death was never My dream for you—it’s an enemy, a thief in the night,And that’s exactly why I tore through heaven to come down and fight.[Seeker] (Steps closer, voice rising with frustration)But if You fought it, why is the scoreboard still so terribly uneven?Explain the math of the universe, because honestly, I stop believin'When I see the headlines. Why do good things happen to bad people? The corrupt get the crowns, the liars build the steeple! They exploit the weak, they profit off the pain,Yet their sun keeps shining and they’re dancing in the rain. While the faithful ones are starving, weeping, falling to their knees,Why do bad things happen to good people? Answer me that, please![Jesus] (Extends his hands, showing the scars)You ask about the rain and sun, and where the justice lies—But My Father lets the rain fall on the just and unjust skies.Because if I struck down the wicked the moment they did wrong,If I wiped out every sinner before they finished their song,Who in this room would be left standing? Who would survive the test?My patience looks like silence, but it's mercy manifest.I give the "bad" time to turn, time to see, time to mend—Because I desire their redemption, not their bitter end.And the "good"? Child, look at My hands. Look at My side. The only truly perfect, innocent man to ever live is the One who died.I took the ultimate bad thing. I absorbed the heaviest blow.So that your suffering is never pointless, even when the answers are "no."[Seeker] (Voice drops to a whisper, tears breaking through)But it hurts, Jesus. It hurts to lose the ones we hold so tight. Why is it that we lose them completely when they die? They vanish from the kitchen table, their voice fades from the hall,And we are left with empty clothes, cold silence, and a wall.If You conquered the grave, why can't I just reach across the space? Why do they feel so entirely gone from this place?[Jesus] (Closes the distance, placing a hand on the Seeker's shoulder)They are not lost to Me. And if they are with Me, they are not lost to you.You see a final curtain dropping, but I see the room made new.You feel the separation because you are still bound to time and space,But they have stepped across the threshold into My immediate embrace. The grief you feel is heavy because your love was meant to last,It’s the price of living in a world where the present becomes the past. But I promise you the silence is temporary, the separation isn't the end,I am rebuilding a kingdom where no goodbyes are ever said again.Hold on through the midnight. Bring Me every single doubt.I’m not fragile. I can handle everything you’re screaming out.
