THE DOCTRINE OF DIVINE SELF-KNOWLEDGE ; ASE-Know Thyself, Know Thy Source
# THE DOCTRINE OF DIVINE SELF-KNOWLEDGE ### ASE — Know Thyself, Know Thy Source [INTRO — WHISPERED / LOW DRONE] Grand Rising... Reflections... Peace and blessings... Gods... Goddesses... Kings... Queens... Children of Source... Take a breath... And turn within. Not outside. Within. Because the journey to know the universe... begins with the courage... to know yourself. ASE. [LOW BOWL — LONG REVERB] [CHANT — SOFT FEMALE/MALE VOICES] Know thyself... Know thyself... Know thyself... And you begin to know... the Source within. ASE... ASE... ASE... [VERSE 1 — SPOKEN WORD] Before the world told you who you were... Before religion gave you a name... Before society gave you a role... Before fear taught you what to believe... There was YOU. Breathing. Feeling. Questioning. Searching. Remembering. There was consciousness... looking through your eyes. There was awareness... experiencing this life. And this is where our doctrine begins. Not with blind belief. Not with fear. Not with somebody else's permission. But with self-knowledge. Know Thyself. The ancient Greeks preserved this phrase as a Delphic maxim... a reminder connected with the sacred tradition of Delphi. And across generations... human beings have continued asking the same question: Who am I? Who am I... beneath the name? Who am I... beneath the body? Who am I... beneath the personality? Who am I... when nobody is watching? [PAUSE] That question... can change your life. [CHANT] WHO AM I? [RESPONSE] I AM. WHO AM I? I AM. WHO AM I? I AM AWARE. WHO AM I? I AM CONSCIOUS. WHO AM I? I AM CONNECTED. ASE. [VERSE 2 — AWARENESS] The First Principle... Awareness. Before you can transform your life... you must become conscious of your life. Notice your thoughts. Notice your emotions. Notice your reactions. Notice your patterns. Notice what gives you peace... and what constantly takes your peace away. Awareness is the doorway. You cannot change what you refuse to see. You cannot heal what you refuse to acknowledge. You cannot master what you refuse to understand. So we look within. Not to judge ourselves... but to know ourselves. I am not every thought that enters my mind. I am the awareness observing the thought. I am not every emotion that moves through me. I am the awareness witnessing the emotion. I am not every mistake I have made. I am the consciousness learning from the experience. I observe. I learn. I grow. ASE. [CHANT — RHYTHMIC] I SEE MYSELF. I KNOW MYSELF. I ACCEPT MYSELF. I DEVELOP MYSELF. I MASTER MYSELF. ASE. [VERSE 3 — THE MIRROR] The Second Principle... Reflection. The outer world can become a mirror... but a mirror is not always a perfect explanation. Sometimes what we experience outside... reveals something happening within. Sometimes it challenges us. Sometimes it teaches us. Sometimes it shows us a pattern... we didn't know we were carrying. So we ask: What is this experience teaching me? What is this relationship showing me? What is this reaction revealing? What part of myself needs attention? But remember... discernment. Not everything that happens to you is your fault. Not every hardship is something you created. Not every person who hurts you is a mirror of your soul. And not every spiritual message you hear... must be accepted as truth. Question everything. Including me. Test what you hear. Seek wisdom. Seek evidence when evidence is possible. And let your spirituality make you wiser... not more arrogant. Let your awakening make you more compassionate... not more judgmental. ASE. [DRUM ENTERS — SLOW DJEMBE] [VERSE 4 — THE DIVINE WITHIN] The Third Principle... The Divine Within. In the ASE teaching... we understand Source as the ultimate origin... the Divine Mystery... the Power behind existence. And we recognize that human beings can experience connection with that Divine Source... within themselves. Not because we are claiming to control the universe... but because we are learning to become conscious vessels... for love... wisdom... creativity... truth... and compassion. The Divine Within is not an excuse for ego. It is a call to responsibility. If there is something sacred within me... then I must honor it. If there is something sacred within you... then I must honor you. And if we recognize the Divine in ourselves... we must learn to recognize dignity... in others. [CHOIR] Divine within... Divine within... Source within... Source within... [LEAD] I carry the spark... [CHOIR] Within... [LEAD] I seek the wisdom... [CHOIR] Within... [LEAD] I return to the truth... [CHOIR] Within... ASE. [VERSE 5 — GOD AND GODDESS] The Fourth Principle... Divine Balance. Some traditions speak of God. Some speak of Goddess. Some speak of Father. Some speak of Mother. Some speak of masculine and feminine expressions of the Divine.
