Sanford Saturday nights — We Light Up the Night

The sun goes down on the Classic City sky But the fire in our hearts is burnin’ high Lights come on, and the stage is set Saturday night — it’s as good as it gets Smoke rolls out as the Dawgs take the field 93 thousand strong and the energy’s real From the first down snap to the final drive We howl at the moon, fully alive Light up the night, red and black in the sky We’re Sanford strong, we’re born to rise Under the lights, where legends play Fall Saturdays, it’s the Bulldog way We shine like fire, we fight with pride Together we roar, we light up the night Phones lite up the night like a sea of flame Fourth quarter hits, and we chant the name From touchdown runs to the Kirby’s days This sacred ground still shakes the same Redcoats blast that Glory song We’ve waited all week just to sing along The South don’t sleep on a Georgia game We bring the storm, we bring the flame Light up the night, red and black in the sky We’re Sanford strong, we’re born to rise Under the lights, where legends play Fall Saturdays, it’s the Bulldog way We shine like fire, we fight with pride Together we roar, we light up the night Every pass, every run, every hit we land Is for the Dawg on our helmet, not just the stands From Athens town to the edge of the state We bleed red deep, and we don’t break Go Dawgs! Light it up! Sic ’em! Never stop! WOOF! WOOF! WOOF! Let Sanford rock! Light up the night, let the whole world know When the Dawgs come out, it’s a show Between the hedges, under stars so bright We rise as one — we own the night Red lights glow, the battle cry flies This is our house — we light up the night! Yeah, we light up the night… On Sanford Saturdays..
