Christmas at the Club

Cranked the bass until the neighbors knocked
Told 'em come on over if they want

We're throwing Christmas at the club tonight
Just you and me and these string-light strobes
Dancing like the whole world disappeared outside
No velvet rope, no cover, no dress code
We're throwing Christmas at the club tonight
Turn it up until the feeling's right

Poured some cheap champagne in coffee mugs, toasted to the year we barely survived
You spun around and kicked your shoes off, said this beat deserves a better vibe
Found that jacket from your birthday, zipped it halfway like you're headed out
But you're not going anywhere, you're right here spinning in my living room
Kitchen counter's stacked with takeout boxes, tree lights tangled with the stereo
We turned December twenty-fifth into the party that we didn't know we'd throw

Forget the plans we didn't make
This is better than escape

Maybe next year we'll do it different
Maybe next year we'll book the trip
But right now you're here
And that's the only gift I need to get
