[Verse 1] God said, “Jonah, I’ve got a job Head to Nineveh, preach, don’t sob!” But Jonah said, “Nope, I think I’ll sail Far, far away, full speed, no trail!” [Verse 2] He hopped on a boat, said, “Bye, I’m gone!” Then BOOM came a storm before too long The sailors screamed, “Who made God mad?!” Jonah raised his hand and said, “That’s… my bad.” [Chorus] Overboard! Splash! Into the sea! He sank like a rock past the fish and debris Then GULP! came a fish, with a big ol’ yawn— And Jonah was swallowed before it was dawn! (But don’t worry… he wasn’t gone!) [Verse 3] Inside the fish it was dark and wet With seaweed stuck on Jonah’s head He said, “Okay, God… You win this fight I’ll do what’s right… please end this fright!” [Chorus] Swallowed but not forgotten, no sir! Even in a belly full of seawater blur! Jonah prayed hard, and God said “Go!” So the fish spit him out with a mighty BLOW! BLEH!! (right onto the shore—ew.) [Verse 4] Jonah ran fast to Nineveh town, Preached out loud, said, “God’s looking down!” The people said, “Wow! We’ll do what’s right!” And turned from their wrongs before that night. [Final Chorus] From the storm to the splash to the belly of gloom, Jonah learned God sees every room. Even when we run or try to hide, God still finds us—and stays by our side. (Even if He has to send a fish to be your ride!) [Outro – spoken, silly voice] Moral of the story? God still loves you even when you disobey… but it's better to just listen the first time and not end up fish vomit.
