Through the Night-Luke 6.12

Intro On the mountain, far from the noise Jesus lifted up His heart and voice As the evening turned to night He stayed there in the Father's light Verse 1 The valley faded in the gold The evening winds began to grow cold But He withdrew to seek God's face And found the Father in that place No crowd, no throne, no earthly praise Just heaven listening through the haze And every breath became a prayer A holy stillness filled the air Chorus Through the night, Christ prayed Through the dark, He stayed Seeking the Father's heart Before another day would start On the mountain high Underneath the open sky Jesus gave His heart, He gave His will And in the silence, God was still Verse 2 The stars awakened one by one Long after disappeared the sun Yet still He knelt upon the stone Communing with Father God alone Before He called the twelve by name Before He walked into the pain He sought the Father's perfect way And trusted God through night and day Chorus Through the night, Christ prayed Through the dark, He stayed Seeking the Father's heart Before another day would start On the mountain high Underneath the open sky Jesus gave His heart, He gave His will And in the silence, God was still Bridge Lord, teach me to seek You Before I run Teach me to listen When the day is done When I don't know the road ahead When every word has left my head Let my heart remember still Your presence is enough to fill Final Chorus Lord, through the night, I'll pray Through the dark, I'll stay Seeking only after You Trusting what Your hands will do On the mountain high I will lift my heart and cry Father, keep me close and still Let me surrender to Your will Outro When the world grows quiet And the stars shine bright Lord Jesus, I'll meet You in the silence And stay with You through the night
