He Weeps With Me
When Jesus therefore saw her weeping… He was deeply moved in Spirit… and was troubled. John 11:23 Mary and Martha called His name Come quickly Lord, before it's too late Lazarus was fading, hope was thin They waited for the miracle to begin But Jesus delayed, the silence grew Four long days… what were they to do The stone was sealed, the tomb was closed And grief filled every broken soul We wouldn't blame their shattered hearts For asking why He stayed so far Why didn’t He come… why didn’t He save Why did He wait beside the grave But Jesus knows what we don't see He feels our pain, He weeps with me Though hope feels lost and faith is worn His glory rises through the storm Even when the night won't end Even when the tears descend If we trust Him through the pain His love will shine through every rain Maybe you've cried those same words too God, where are You? What should I do? You called His name through sleepless nights But heaven answered… with silent skies Still Jesus knows what’s going on Even when the strength is gone Some things matter more to Him Than happiness in moments dim Though hearts may break and tears may fall His purpose moves beyond it all He never leaves you in the pain His love is standing in the rain But Jesus knows what we don't see He feels our pain, He weeps with me Though hope feels lost and faith is worn His glory rises through the storm Even when the night won't end Even when the tears descend If we trust Him through the pain His love will shine through every rain Jesus is not far away He feels the tears you cry today He wept beside the silent grave He walks with you through every wave Like Mary… like Martha… still believe His love is greater than what we see If you trust Him through it all You'll see His glory when you call Jesus knows what we don't see He feels our pain, He weeps with me Though hope feels lost and faith is worn His glory rises through the storm If we trust Him through the pain Love will rise again and again Through every trial… through every care His loving presence… always there Jesus… Thank You for seeing my heartbreak… And always having a good purpose… In all I experience… Amen.
