Europe – Between Stars and Shadows
Verse 1 Europe, a continent of ideas and weight Built on words, yet carried by duty Freedom on signs, movement in space Yet not everyone lives this promised dream Advantages dazzle like glass in the sun But down in the shadows, joy is undone Verse 2 I see open borders for goods and money But people with questions are wrong for the world Equality in text, yet selective in practice Depending on name and origin, the future turns relative Prejudices stick like dust on shoes Carried forward, with nothing to refuse Verse 3 They talk of unity in a hundred debates Yet fail due to ego and national fates No common direction, just interests at play Everyone pulls toward themselves, yet none find the way Contracts are thick, trust is thin Europe quietly crumbles from within Verse 4 Europe should be peace, they loudly claim Yet arms exports are cleanly framed No war on the soil, that’s called fair While elsewhere suffering grows, financed from here Morality is stretched until it no longer fits When profit decides what truth permits Verse 5 Injustice lives in systems of stone Laws are equal, but chances are none Born at the top, you fall soft and easy Born at the bottom, you fight doubly to be free Social ascent often remains just a word For those who lose in this world Verse 6 I hear voices of women, but made quieter still Equal work, yet less power to wield Progress on stages, in daily life restrained By structures that hold what is long unclaimed Europe, modern in self-portrait Yet old in patterns no one breaks who knows Verse 7 Dreams of emigration grow in silence When hope ends here, it seeks other guidance Some leave, others come in Both are tested if they “fit” within Migration as numbers, not as face Yet movement is part of your history and place Verse 8 Too many walls in minds, not made of stone Fear of strangers, yet never alone Europe forgets how much diversity it bears And that precisely this shapes its strength and cares Harmony doesn’t die loudly, but quietly instead When humanity is measured by cost and spread Verse 9 There is potential greater than power’s reign If you live values, not just watch them in vain Unity needs courage, not just control Not just markets and rules, but a shared role Europe, the future stands at your door The question remains: Will you open – or stay closed for more? Verse 10 Between stars and shadows, hope and guilt Europe faces itself, no escape, no tilt Advantages, disadvantages, truth in sight No peace without justice, step by step, right No war, no lies, no double measure Or this unity remains a glassy gesture Europe, time no longer asks for show Either you change – or stay alone below
