[Intro] [Angelic choir chanting. Sad, haunting violin. Slow, deep, heavy bass drum. Sas pads building to first verse.] [Whispered] As the last light fades And the darkness blooms The silence isn't empty Something there looms [Melancholic violin] [Verse 1] A silhouette born of light and shade Something strange and out of place An unmarked path through the void was made And it's been waiting with eternal grace The trembling ceases The panic takes flight When guided by a touch That swallows the night [Melancholic violin] [Pre-chorus] Lead the way, reaper of light For I am here but I am lost Guide me home along this path Tell me it was worth the cost [Angelic choir] [Chorus] Reaper of light (Reaper of light) Through shadows and fire Reaper of light (Reaper of light) Lead me from all I desire For the crown is lost The battle won My journey is ending My soul has begun Oh, Reaper if light (Reaper of light) Direct my feet through this dark And kindle within me a heavenly spark [Angelic choir chanting] [Verse 2] The colours of life begin to recede Turning to silver, a slow, silent creed No more thunder No more rain Only the peace That follows the pain [Melancholic violin, sad pads] [Pre-chorus] Lead the way, oh, reaper of light For I am here but I am lost Guide me home along this path Tell me it was worth the cost [Chorus] Reaper of light (Reaper of light) Through shadows and fire Reaper of light (Reaper of light) Lead me from all I desire For the crown is lost The battle is won My journey is ending My soul has begun Oh, reaper of light (Reaper of light) Help my stride through the dark And kindle within me a heavenly spark [Violin solo, Gregorian, angelic chanting] [Bridge] No more the weight of breath No more the shadow of death Just the light of a truth denied The gates of the infinite open wide [Chorus] Reaper of light (Oh, reaper of light) Through shadows and fire Reaper of light (Oh, reaper of light) Lead from all I desire For my crown is lost My battle is won My journey is never ending My soul has barely begun Oh, my reaper of light (Reaper of light) I know my way now through the dark And I'm ready for my heavenly spark [Powerful angelic chanting] [Melancholic violin] [Whispered] Goodbye... [End]
