Greit #SUNOVISION 2025 (Judge Entry) 🇳🇴

--------------------------- NOTE -------------------------- Uh, hi! I usually don't do long introductions to my songs, but this one got out of hand a bit, and I think an explanation for it is in order. Firstly, I'm going to be one of the judges at Nepenthe's Sunovision contest, so this song is more to promote it, and not an "official entry", I suppose. If you haven't heard of it yet, I've posted all the information and rules below, so check that out! Secondly, this is the first song I've posted in my native language of Norwegian (even though we've done terribly in Eurovision the last few times we've entered with a norwegian song haha), so I got Chat GPT to translate the lyrics to english after the norwegian ones. Thirdly, the song is based on my grandfather's upbringing (and the ones before him). They grew up on a mountain farm in one of those fjords you see on any norwegian post-card. I also grew up in that area, and I've always been amazed at the amazing perserverance that generation had to have in order to get through the cold norwegian winters so isolated from civilization, with the food shortages that come with it, and limited heat for so many people (think 15 or more), who also had to live in one house.. in post-war Norway, no less. So this is for them, and especially my grandpa. And, uh, this song is also in my rather niche norwegian dialect, and that was a damn pain to replicate in Suno, let me tell ya. I also tried to do the Eurovision thing, where I create something that mixes together some traditional cultural music with more modern stuff. I know it sounds a bit strange, and it IS, but hey, that's Eurovision for ya. Create one original song with #Sunovision2025 in the title that inspires us and best showcases your work as a Suno artist!
