CHRISTMAS IS ALL AROUND Verse 1 Snowflakes falling on the avenue, Shop windows shining bright, People hurry home with packages On a cold December night. Children stop to see the window displays, Couples stroll beneath the glow, And somewhere in the distance You can hear the carolers go— Chorus Christmas is all around, All through the town, Listen to that happy sound. Christmas is all around, Lights shining down, There’s a little bit of magic Everywhere you turn around. Verse 2 Taxi horns and church bells ringing, Chestnuts roasting down the street, Friendly faces bundled up And strangers smiling when they meet. There’s a wreath on every doorway, There’s a star in every square, And somehow for a little while There’s kindness everywhere. Chorus Christmas is all around, All through the town, Listen to that happy sound. Christmas is all around, Lights shining down, There’s a little bit of magic Everywhere you turn around. Bridge Maybe it’s the snowflakes, Maybe it’s the lights, Maybe it’s remembering A hundred Christmas nights. Maybe it’s the feeling That the whole world somehow knows— There’s something about December That warms you through the cold. Verse 3 Now the evening’s getting quieter, Stores are closing one by one, People carrying their treasures home, Their Christmas shopping done. And beneath the glowing streetlights As the snow comes drifting down, You can almost hear December Whisper softly through the town— Final Chorus Christmas is all around, All through the town, Listen to that happy sound. Christmas is all around, Lights shining down, There’s a little bit of Heaven Everywhere you turn around. Tag Christmas is all around… Merry Christmas, little town.
