Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.—1 Tim. 1:15.

[Verse 1] I was hiding in the hallway Heart like a locked-up room Every prayer felt empty Every song out of tune Then I heard that simple sentence Cut straight through my doubt "If He came to save the sinners" Maybe I can walk out [Chorus] Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners That means me Not the cleaned-up Sunday version But the one You still see If Your grace is for the broken and the ones on their knees Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners You came for me (yeah, You came for me) [Verse 2] All my shame like old receipts Stuffed deep in my coat Every line a little failure Every line a heavy note But You read them one by one Smiled and tore them apart Said "I carried all of this already Come and rest My heart" [Chorus] Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners That means me Not the brave face in the mirror But the mess underneath If Your love runs to the alleys and the hardest of streets Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners You came for me (oh, You came for me) [Bridge] For the doubter For the runner For the secrets no one sees For the angry For the empty You still say "Come to Me" If there's breath inside these lungs Then there's mercy left to breathe You did not come for the righteous You came for the least (hey!) [Chorus] Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners That means me Every scar Every story Held in Your nailed hands Free If there's room beside Your table for the last and the least Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners You came for me You came for me (yeah) You came for me
