Title - Light House Band - The She Wovles Year - 2011 ___________ Norwegian sisters of The She Wolves formed their band to tell their own tales. The enchanting 2011 debut, "Light House," was a folk-infused single inspired by a folk story their mother would read to them. The song's deeply personal roots and unique sound quickly won over critics and audiences alike, earning them a strong following and establishing their place as a force in the indie folk scene. ___________ The sun is a sinking, sinking stone And the seabirds are all flying home Then let them fly, fly, fly away We'll build our home from the salt and spray 'Cause even in the darkest night Our little house will be a guiding light But the wind is a wolf, wolf, wolf that calls And it's scratching patterns on our walls Then we will sing, sing, sing our song To prove its lonely howling wrong 'Cause even in the darkest night Our little house will be a guiding light (Hey!) Don't you listen to the wind! (Hey!) The storm is closing in again! (Hey!) And sometimes I think the house might fall But I remember we built it strong and tall! You feel so far, far, far away Though you are standing here today A heavy silence starts to grow There are things that we may never know But wait, wait, wait for me, don't disappear I'll find you in the darkness, have no fear. (Hey!) Don't you listen to the wind?! (Hey!) The storm is closing in again! (Hey!) And sometimes I think the house might fall But I remember we built it strong and tall! (Hey!) Don't you listen to the wind?! (Hey!) The storm is closing in again! (Hey!) And sometimes I think the house might fall But I remember we built it strong and tall! 'Cause even in the darkest night Our little house will be a guiding light 'Cause even in the darkest night Our little house will be a guiding light Hey!
