Warden of the Raven's Nest

-- Verse -- Once upon a time there was a pirate queen Who fished me out of the Suno sea Gave me a place on board her pirate ship Its crew was made of spirits wild and free -- Verse -- She didn't take me to a port But to a Sanctuary of song and cheer A Raven's nest filled with colorful birds Weaving countless melodies for all to hear -- Chorus -- Happy Birthday dear Tarja, Warden of the Raven's Nest With endeavour and with kindness You create a place to rest May the ravens keep on soaring, May their songs forever fly. May the love you've shared so freely Always find its way to you in kind. -- Verse -- Black Tarja was her name that time But her songs wear many faces The cello always at her side Its voice weaving magic in countless places. -- Bridge -- You've gathered souls and gave them a home Their numbers increase and effort grows Hours are short, days are long Still you find kind words for everyone. Now let our voices carry yours As yours has carried us before. -- Instrumental -- -- Final Chorus -- Happy Birthday dear Tarja, Warden of the Raven's Nest Your endeavour and your kindness Created a place to rest May the ravens keep on soaring, May their songs forever fly. May the love you've shared so freely Always find its way to you in kind.
