[Verse 1] He walked that cracked-up sidewalk Shined shoes Same two step each day (never changed) One dimple of a smile shows For every stranger on his way Fedora Hat tipped low Gray suit pressed Tie that matched the sky just right Eyes that knew a thousand storms Still looked at you in this purest form [Chorus] Old man with a young man’s stride Swag of faith in every line Every nod said “you’re alright” Like a blessing in his one dimpled smile So Happy So Holy Down the block he came Gravitating joy like it was his last name Old man Yeah he showed the way Walking in a swag of faith (oh yeah) [Verse 2] He’d say “how you holding up now?” Never rushed your little reply Paused right there at the corner As if the world could wait a while Bible tucked inside his coat Creases in his weathered hands Laughing at the petty things Like he already knew the plan [Chorus] Old man with a young man’s stride Swag of faith in every line Every nod said “you’re alright” Like a blessing in his one dimpled smile So Happy So Holy Down the block he came Bringing hope thru mumbled prayers Old man Yeah he showed the way Walking in a swag of faith (hey) [Bridge] I still see him when a sharp suit catches my eye On that same old stretch of street i can Hear him say “Hey Mijo all you have to do is walk with Faith” [Chorus] Old man with a young man’s stride Swag of faith in every line Every nod said “you’re alright” Like a blessing in his one dimpled smile So Happy So Holy Down the block he came Carrying love like it was his last name Old man Cano I can hear you say “Ay Papa Keep on with that walk of faith”
