[Intro] Darkness covers the ancient arena Countless eyes are watching us Yet our eyes are lifted upward Toward the open gates of heaven Death will never have the final word Neither sword nor fire can break our faith Those washed clean by the blood of the Lamb Will stand before the Lord today [Verse 1] Though we kneel upon the sand Our souls will never bow The louder all the crowds may roar The clearer sounds Your voice Though it seems that we are left alone You have never left our side Our final breath becomes a prayer Our final tears become a song [Pre-Chorus] We are not waiting here for death We look toward eternal life Through the open gate beyond the cross We hear You calling us [Chorus] Festival beyond death A feast beyond our tears Before the throne of the Lamb We will lift our song again Festival beyond death A kingdom free from fear All who carried forth the cross Will enter everlasting light [Verse 2] Though we hear the lions roaring Still our lips confess Your name Though our bodies fall upon the earth Our witness lives through every age The road of blood is not the end It becomes the gospel seed One faithful life will lead the way For countless disciples yet to come [Pre-Chorus] We are not the ones defeated We are victors unseen by the world Passing through the gates of death We receive the crown of life [Chorus] Festival beyond death A feast beyond our tears Before the throne of the Lamb We will lift our song again Festival beyond death A kingdom free from fear All who carried forth the cross Will enter everlasting light [Bridge] Though they try to erase our names You remember every one Though they try to silence our voices Heaven hears our song Faithful unto death We follow the Lamb Beyond the arena We enter the feast Be faithful unto death And I will give the crown of life Death has now become the doorway And eternity welcomes us [Final Chorus] Festival beyond death The day when every tear is dried With the multitude in robes of white We lift a new song high Festival beyond death The kingdom where all nations meet Those who held the Word and walked until the end Will stand beside the Lamb Festival beyond death Resurrection dawn beyond the cross We have not died; in Christ we live Forevermore in Him [Outro] Across the sand of the arena Into the wedding feast of the Lamb We have overcome By the blood of the Lamb Beyond death Into life Festival beyond death
