[Spoken Word - Verse 1] It started with a pen stroke. An empire flexing its muscles across the map. Caesar Augustus drops a decree from a throne in Rome— “Count the heads. Register.” Just a global census to a Roman king, but the hand of God was moving the pieces on the board. So enter Joseph, walking the dusty miles to Bethlehem. Beside him, Mary—heavily pregnant, carrying the weight of the promise. No hospitality. No vacancy. No elite delivery rooms. Just a crowded town and a “no guest room available” sign. So, the King of Glory made His entrance in the shadows. Wrapped in strips of cloth, and laid in a feeding trough. Humility personified. [Chorus] (The drums kick in with a steady, driving heartbeat rhythm. Acoustic guitar and layered vocals swell.) Glory to God in the highest heaven Peace has come down to the earth Out of the shadows, a Savior is rising Hope is alive in Your birth Oh, the Light of the World has come [Spoken Word - Verse 2] (The beat drops back down to just a pulsing synth and a cello, keeping the momentum but making room for the vocal grit.) Now, cut to the outskirts. The midnight shift. Just some ordinary shepherds pulling the night watch. When BAM. The night fractures. An angel of the Lord steps into the atmosphere, and the raw, unfiltered glory of the Divine explodes around them! They went from standard security to absolute terror in a heartbeat. But the angel says: “Hold up. Do not be afraid. I’m bringing you explosive news of massive joy for every single person. Today, a Savior has been born. He is Christ the Lord.” And right on cue, the sky can’t hold it back anymore. The solo act becomes a stadium choir—a multitude of the heavenly host Ripping through the darkness, shouting: “Glory!” [Chorus] (Full band enters. Big electric guitars, driving drums, powerful worship vocals.) Glory to God in the highest heaven Peace has come down to the earth Out of the shadows, a Savior is rising Hope is alive in Your birth Oh, the Light of the World has come [Bridge - Part 1: Spoken Word Building] (The music starts building a massive crescendo. Snare rolls rolling, strings rising dramatically. The delivery here becomes faster, more passionate.) They didn’t debate it. The shepherds broke into a sprint. They ran through the alleys until they found Him— The baby, exactly where God said He’d be. And they couldn’t keep it quiet. They hit the streets, telling everyone! But Mary? Mary just watched. She took all these wild, chaotic, beautiful moments, and treasured them deep in her heart. Because the King had arrived. Not with a crown of gold, but with a heartbeat of grace. [Bridge - Part 2: Sung Worship] (The climax of the song. The spoken word seamlessly hands off to a roaring, anthemic vocal melody.) Emmanuel! God with us now! The beautiful King wearing a crown of grace! Emmanuel! The heavens bow! History rewritten in a manger! (Repeat Bridge Part 2 with ad-libs) [Outro] (The drums drop out suddenly. Just a soft piano and the sound of a fading string section. A warm, intimate spoken-word finish.) The shepherds went back to their fields, back to their sheep... but they were walking differently now. Glorifying and praising God for everything they had seen. History was rewritten... and it all started in the shadows
