One day, a baby was born into this world, and thus a tale began, so faint, so new. I read along, as all the tale unfurled, the lead myself, the role that life bestrew. In time the hero grew, yet still confined, the prologue lingered, never seemed to cease. For no one told me: stories are designed not by another’s hand, but mine for peace. The hero spoke within the story’s frame: “This is my life, not yours, so close the book. Step forth, and walk your path, claim your own name.” I paused, then knew just where the answer took: That book, you ask, where does it hide or lie? It rests, my friend, within my own mind’s eye.
