Who can find a virtuous woman of grace? For her price is far above rubies' embrace The heart of her husband doth trust in her name So that he shall have no need of gain She will do him good and not evil or strife All the days, all the days of her life She seeketh the wool, and she seeketh the flax And worketh with hands that are willing and glad She is like the merchants' ships from afar Bringing her food from under the star She riseth also while it is yet night To give her household their meat in the light Strength and honour are her clothing to wear And she shall rejoice in the time over there She openeth her mouth with wisdom so blind And in her tongue is the law to be kind (Yeah, the law to be kind) She seeth her merchandise surely is good Her candle burns bright as a lamp in the wood She layeth her hands to the spindle with might And her hands hold the distaff all through the night She stretcheth her hand to the poor with a plea Yea, she reacheth her hands to the needy to see Strength and honour are her clothing to wear And she shall rejoice in the time over there She openeth her mouth with wisdom so blind And in her tongue is the law to be kind Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain Like a morning mist or a passing rain But a woman that feareth the Lord from above Oh, she shall be praised for her ultimate love Give her the fruit of her hands and her state And let her own works praise her in the gate Her children arise up, and call her blest Her husband also, and he praiseth her best Far above rubies A woman that feareth the Lord She shall be praised
