From truth’s deep fount, foul poison flows, A cursed well that ever grows. Break ye the glass of gilded lies, And barter soul 'neath shadowed skies. Lift high the cup, see crimson gleam, Drink deep thy dread, feed fear's dark dream. Drink, Drink, Drink, Drink. A game unbless’d, the fiend doth host, He twists thy wits, becomes thy ghost. Where love and loathing wane and blend, All sense is lost, all grace doth end. With judgment fled and masks untried, No soul remains wherein to hide. Thine tears, like flame, on cheek do fall, Yet still thy heart is colder thrall. In chains of woe, truth draws thee near, Thy shattered voice but speaks in fear. A devil grins with lips so wide— Thy soul, he takes, thou canst not bide. Mingle thy grief with viper’s brew, Let chaos rise and worlds undo. Sip shadows deep, let darkness swell, Feel fate descend, like tolling bell. The Reaper’s touch, a silent knell, Draws thee forth where demons dwell. A game unbless’d, the fiend doth host, He twists thy wits, becomes thy ghost. Where love and loathing wane and blend, All sense is lost, all grace doth end. With judgment fled and masks untried, No soul remains wherein to hide. One final draught—’tis done, the play, No victor crowns the break of day. The Devil laughs, a choir of sin, Whilst darkness drowns the light within.
