[Verse 1 - BETWEEN THE LIVING AND THE DEAD] The people turned from Almighty God, Went wandering after gods of clay; Their hearts bowed down to other loves, And a plague swept through their land that day. Then Aaron took the incense flame And stood between the living and the dead; A cry for mercy rose through judgment— And the plague was stayed. [Verse 2 - FIRST, LOOK UPON THE BLOOD] You alone have every right To give each soul according to their ways, According to the fruit their deeds have borne— Yet first, look on the price You paid. We lift Your precious blood before You; Like Moses, we fall down and plead. Like Aaron, we stand in the breach. Make up the hedge through those who intercede. [Chorus] Yeshua, look upon the blood; Let mercy answer as we pray. Between the living and the dead, Stand in our midst and stay the plague. Your blood still speaks a better word Than all the charges sin has made. Let this become our land’s refrain: “And the plague was stayed.” [Verse 3 - CARRY THEM INTO YOUR PRESENCE] We carry those whose legs of faith Have lost the strength to rise and stand; We bring them close before Your face And place them in Your healing hands. Yeshua, mighty name of rescue, You desire that none be lost; Let every weary heart find mercy In the love poured out upon Your cross. [Verse 4- THE ALTAR OF OUR HEARTS] Build an altar in our hearts, Lord, Here upon the threshing floor; Separate the wheat from all the chaff Till divided hearts are Yours once more. Let the sons of Zadok rise To minister before Your throne; Draw us through the veil into Your presence, By the blood of You alone. Where priests once brought the fat and blood, We lift the sacrifice You made; No other offering could redeem us— You took our death, our ransom paid. Like Barabbas, bound for judgment, We heard the sentence, saw the tree; The Innocent stood in our place, And we, condemned, were walking free. [Chorus] Yeshua, look upon the blood; Let mercy answer as we pray. Between the living and the dead, Stand in our midst and stay the plague. Your blood still speaks a better word Than all the charges sin has made. Let this become our land’s refrain: “And the plague was stayed.” [Bridge] The Keys and the Better Word You hold the keys of death and Hades; The key of David rests with You. Open doors of life none can shut; Close the paths that death would lead us through. With the Kingdom keys entrusted to us, In Your name we take our stand: “Gates of Hades, you shall not prevail— Release your claim upon this land!” Your blood speaks louder than accusation; Your mercy calls the captive home. Death shall never have the final word— Yeshua, Yours is the throne! [Verse 5 - JUDGMENT AND THE COVENANT OF PEACE] Yeshua, You alone are our High Priest; All righteous judgment rests with You. Where Phinehas once raised his javelin, You see the heart, the hidden truth. Confront the leaders bound to idols, Break the sins that plague our land; Yet in Your wrath remember mercy— Let Your covenant of peace still stand. [Verse 6 - SEARCH OUR HEARTS] O Lord, You search us and You know us; You discern our thoughts from far away. Look upon us through the Lamb’s blood; Teach our wandering hearts Your ways. Be merciful to those who love You; Bring the hidden darkness into light. We turn from cherished sin within us— Turn toward us, Lord, and shine Your light. [Final Bridge - “STOP! THAT IS ENOUGH!”] Speak to the angel with the sword, Lord: “Stop! That is enough!” Hear the prayers rising from our land; Remember Your covenant love. We humble ourselves before You; We seek Your face and turn again. You promised You would hear from heaven, Forgive our sin and heal our land. [Final Chorus] Yeshua, look upon the blood; Let mercy answer as we pray. Between the living and the dead, Stand in our midst and stay the plague. Your blood still speaks a better word; Your mercy meets us as we turn. Heal our land and draw us near— Let holy love within us burn. [Outro] “Stop! That is enough!” The word of mercy came. And where the sword had stretched across the land, We called upon Your name. And the plague was stayed. And the plague was stayed. The blood of Yeshua spoke a better word— And the plague was stayed.
