(Verse 1 – Setting the Scene) It was down along the Everblue, where Reese had built a still, We were trying out a fresh new mash when Rovers charged the hill! “Lose the booze!” cried Reese aloud—but ere I could reply, He dumped it in the feed trough, where his dragon lay nearby. Now that dragon had two broken wings, and one mean, unblinking eye, But with a taste of Herul strong, he’d swear that he could fly! He launched straight toward the Rovers, up the hillside steep, And scattered them like chaff is torn from wheat before the reap! (Chorus – Raise Your Mugs!) Here’s to you! To me! You did it all! From the Rovers to the still, to the tail upon the wall! Here’s to you! To me! You did it all! The day that Reese’s Drunken Dragon crushed the Rovers from Turrall! (Verse 3 – The Battle Turns!) The Rovers they were fighters, and archers swift and keen, But Reese kicked up a wall of smoke, so none of them were seen! The dragon took another gulp—the Herul was too sweet! Then lunged ahead and swallowed one poor Rover—head to feet! (Verse 4 – The Dragon’s Rampage!) The Rovers gathered, swords in hand—they would not run or yield! They loosed their arrows, charged ahead, and met him on the field. The dragon took another sip—then took a second shot, And clawed and bit and ripped those Rovers down to bloody splot! Here’s to you! To me! You did it all! From the Rovers to the still, to the tail upon the wall! Here’s to you! To me! You did it all! The day that Reese’s Drunken Dragon crushed the Rovers from Turrall! (Verse 5 – The Dragon’s End!) The dragon took a final bite—one last Rover’s head, Then drained the keg of Herul dry… and toppled over, dead. We carried his great body back, to mourn him through the night, But damned if we did not drink and toast his final fight! We missed that mighty beast, oh aye, his loss was hard to take, But Reese, in all his wisdom, thought, “Why let him go to waste?” And so he made a trophy from the best half of our friend… And mounted high for all to see—the dragon’s noble end! Here’s to you! To me! You did it all! From the Rovers to the still, to the tail upon the wall! Here’s to you! To me! You did it all! The day that Reese’s Drunken Dragon crushed the Rovers from Turrall! (Outro – The Tavern Toast!) lift a mug and let's cheer to the draconian rear! Everyone raise an ale! To the Dragon’s Tale! The Dragon’s Tale! Everyone raise an ale! To the Dragon’s Tale!!
